Site assessment

Our team visits the facility, captures levelling, clearances, civil tolerances and infrastructure dependencies before any hardware ships. We translate findings into a deployment dossier the integrator can rely on.

Why it matters

Why quality matters.

The quality of an installation directly sets system performance, maintenance load, and operating cost. It is not labour - it is the precision the rest of the asset depends on.
- Operations doctrine · MERIXA installation crew

Properly installed automation systems perform at peak efficiency, require fewer maintenance interventions, and deliver the operating economics the integrator promised the customer. Installation errors compound - they cause throughput losses, premature wear and recurring downtime that erodes margin across the lifetime of the asset.

Installation issues are responsible for nearly half of automation project delivery problems we are asked to recover. Most are preventable: floor flatness out of spec, mechanical tolerances stacked, cable routing improvised, sign-off skipped under schedule pressure.

Our crews execute against a written installation method statement - the same document we hand over with the system. There is no improvisation in the field, because the field is where defects get baked in. Every fastener, every alignment, every continuity test gets logged.

For integrators, the result is closeout without surprises: zero punch-list rework after SAT, full as-built documentation in the bid pack format you specified, and a system that performs to the curve you sold.

Common questions

Installation process - questions.

Q.01
What site preparation is required before installation begins?
Floor flatness to FF/FL spec, three-phase power capacity sized to peak draw, network drops in pulled-cable position, and clear delivery routes for hardware. We provide a written site-readiness checklist after the assessment visit; integrators forward it to the customer’s facility team.
Q.02
What quality standards do you follow during installation?
ISO 9001:2015 quality management, plus the integrator’s project-specific method statement. Every shift logs a QC checklist; every milestone is photo-documented and signed by the foreman before the next phase opens.
Q.03
How long does a typical installation take?
Single conveyor line: 1-2 weeks. Mid-size sortation: 4-8 weeks. Full ASRS deployment: 12-20 weeks. We publish a Gantt with the integrator at scope-freeze and update it weekly.
Q.04
Are you certified to work with major OEM equipment?
Yes. Our crews carry tier-1 OEM training certificates across the major ASRS, conveyor, sortation and AGV platforms. Customer-specific safety inductions completed before mobilisation.
Q.05
Can installation work be done without disrupting operations?
Yes - brownfield installs are a core competency. Night-shift, weekend, and rolling-bay programmes are standard. We coordinate with the customer’s operations team to keep production cells live around our work front.
Q.06
What happens if issues are discovered during installation?
Logged immediately, photographed, escalated to the integrator’s project manager within the same shift, with a proposed remedy. We do not paper over discrepancies between drawing and field - they get resolved in writing before work continues.
